Sharon’s path to holistic nutrition started when her son was diagnosed not only with Crohn’s, but with Ulcerative Colitis, 4 1/2 years ago. After seeing him suffer and miss a month of school and trying a couple of different medicines before finding one that helped ease his symptoms, Sharon made a promise to him that he would be off meds by the time he went to college.

Through research, taking classes and working with a holistic health coach, Sharon learned how to heal her son through food. While he still has 1 1/2 years before he starts college, he is already on the road to recovery. He no longer needs his prevacid and has reduced his medication from four pills a day to one. He went from being unable to wake up in the morning or stay up at night, to being an honors student and is also on the track team and runs cross country. His allergies disappeared and his eczema went away. Sharon has changed her whole pantry and is educating not only herself, but her children as well, to live a balanced life with real food. Her own transformation occurred naturally. As she ate cleaner, her taste buds naturally changed, she lost weight without trying, without deprivation and without a diet. This process led her back to school where she is matriculating with a masters in clinical nutrition.

Her passion to share and educate everyone led her to create Tierra Sol. The name in Spanish means ‘earth’ and ‘sun’. By being grounded with real whole foods, the body gets the nutrients it needs and the clarity the brain needs to think clearer and pursue one’s dreams and passions. Sharon created workshops, seminars, teleseminars and webinars to provide a clear, easy understanding of food, nutrients and how, if you truly listen to your body and give it what it needs, it will give you back exponentially what you desire – energy, health, graceful aging and natural weight loss.
